Fossils Found that Day

The best find of the day was this 16 inch long Nautiloid Cephalopod, found by a young man named William. William is going to glue the pieces together at home and bring them to the next meeting. Nice find, William!

Here is it cleaned up at a later meeting. William has glued the pieces together. The next two shots shows both sides.

William also found this long Cephalopod, with matrix on either end.

This Cephalopod has a calcite replacement that makes the individual chambers look like Necco Wafers!
