Plaesiomys subquadratus

Mid-size brachiopod rectangular in shape. Identified by generally flat pedicle valve whereas dorsal valve is globular. Also rays on the dorsal valve tend to recurve parallel to the hinge as they approach the margin of the valve. It is often confused with Glyptorthis insculpta and Hebertella
