Feature Speaker - Carl Fechko "A Mystery Fossil –Historically Significant, Unbelievably Beautiful, and Extremely Interesting"
Beginner's Class:
No Beginner's Class due to Silent Auction

This month was our 74th anniversary meeting. Yes, we have been doing these meetings since 1942.

At 7:30 pm, annual the silent auction in room 301 Braunstein Hall on the University of Cincinnati Clifton campus opened for pre-viewing. Bidding was allowed. Serious buyers were feverishly checking out the more than 230 items for sale. Here are some photos of the pre-viewing.

Next came the general meeting, one floor down from the silent auction. Carl Flechko of the North Coast Fossil Club dazzled us with an amazing collection of photos of the famous "Amber Room."  This is one of the many good reasons to join the Dry Dredgers. You need to come to the meetings to see these photos.

After the feature presentation there was "show and tell" with refreshments in the meeting room (201 Braunstein Hall).

Meanwhile upstairs, the silent auction was in progress.

At 9:45 Treasurer Dean Swartz announced the auction was over and everyone lined up with their purchases to pay the man.

That's all for this month. I hope you'll join us next time.
