It rained all morning and part of the afternoon. Bill Heimbrock visited the site in the afternoon to drain the lake with additional ditches.
Here is a picture of "Lake Rafinesque" after all the
rain and before the ditches.
Here is the ditch that was dug on Sunday (lower left). You can see that the
pavement is dry where it feeds the ditch. Apparently, the Rafinesquina pavement
slopes slightly toward the rear of the site, preventing it from draining.
This photo shows how well "Lake Rafinesque" was
drained Tuesday. Bill Heimbrock used a broom to sweep the water into the
ditches.
This photo shows one of the other trenchs that was dug Tuesday.
